Round 4 sees St Kilda, Bulldogs and Brisbane all with a bye but round 4 wont lack any excitement with a massive match up against Carlton and Essendon. Both clubs are looking to break into the top 4 this season and this may be the defining
match to decide who makes it or not.
Both teams are have odds of $1.91 so even the bookies can’t split them.
Best Bet of Round Four
This weeks best bet is Essendon to win over Carlton by the over 4 points, its paying $2.10 at Sportsbet where they give you a $200 free bet bundle just for signing up. See more info here.
Richmond Vs Collingwood
Odds: Richmond $8.60 Collingwood $1.07
The tigers were pretty disappointing against the Hawks in Round 3 after an impressive start to the season. Jack Reiwoldt has to get his emotions under control if he wants to lead his team to a big upset again the top of the ladder Pies.
Collingwood backed up the unveiling of the premiership flag with a strong display against Carlton but there is still a lot of improvement to be had at the Lexus Centre according to Mick Malthouse. Expect the Pies to continue on their merry way Friday night.

Hawthorn vs. West Coast
Odds: Hawks 1.13 West Coast $6.00
Are the Hawks a legit premiership contender? I think so. With Rioli and Mitchell to come back into the side that thrashed Richmond last week I can’t see the Eagles proving much of a challenge to the Hawks down in Tassie.
West Coast is doing better than expected early in the season and let one slip against the Swans last week. Cox and Embley are in fantastic form but it won’t be enough against the Hawks.

Carlton vs. Essendon
Odds: Carlton $1.91 Essendon $1.91
What a match up this promises to be between these 2 rivals. Carlton were brave against Collingwood last week and will need their star studded mid field to stand up against Essendon. Jeff Garlett is in an equal lead for the Coleman medal early on with 10 majors so far this season and poses as a real threat up forward.
Essendon proved last week that they are the real deal demolishing the winless Saints. Watson, Hurley, Zaharakis & Winderlich shared the wealth up forward bagging 3 apiece.
In a tight game that will be won by the midfield I expect the Bombers to get crawl over the line.
Bombers by 5 points
Sydney vs. Geelong
Odds: Sydney $2.09 Geelong $1.75
Saturday night pits 2nd vs. 3rd in what should be a cracker of a match. The Swans at home are always hard to beat, new recruit Andrejs Everitt looks to have fit in well at his new club and is ready for a breakout season.
The Cats marched on last week winning their at home last week to 24 games serving up a clinic to Port Adelaide. They are now almost at full strength with Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartell in ominous form. Expect this to be a tight clash.

Port Adelaide vs. Adelaide
Port captain Domenic Cassisi has signalled that the Power could ring the changes for this week’s Showdown looking at bringing back the likes of Salopek, Banner, Ebert & Surjan to try and get their first win of the season.
Adelaide was disappointing against Fremantle last week and will need to turn it around quick in front of a packed AAMI stadium Saturday night. Dangerfield looks to be in red hot form for the crows and Thompson was one of the only shining lights last week with 40 touches.
Port has won four of the past 5 against Adelaide but I expect that trend to come to end this weekend.

Gold Coast vs. Melbourne
The Suns were not disgraced against the dogs last week but will be missing Campbell Brown for a few after a few incidents last week which will hurt them. Ablett showed he can still get a lot of the footy even without the protection he used to get at Geelong and is looking good.
Melbourne on the other hand were lucky to get the points against Brisbane and coach Dean Bailey will be putting the pressure on his players this week to make sure they are not the first side to lose to the AFLs newest team. Liam Jurrah looks ready for a big season after booting 5 and leading the way for Melbourne last week. Melbourne should win this but they will not have it all their own way.

Fremantle vs. Kangaroos
The Kangaroos travel to Perth for the second time already this season and may benefit from the bye last week. For them to get a Win they need big games from the likes of Swallow, Petrie & Harvey.
Fremantle were dominant in the first quarter last week setting up the win. Star ruckman Aaron Sandilands is in doubt with an eye injury but I expect him to be right by Sunday. The Dockers need to get consecutive wins constantly this season if they are going to be playing footy in September. The home ground advantage will prove enough for Fremantle to get over the line.
