Long Odds for Coolmore Classic This Weekend

The decisions by Peter Moody and Gai Waterhouse to bypass this year’s Coolmore Classic with their respective stars Typhoon Tracy and More Joyous, has now made the Group One event an extremely challenging one for punters. In a very even race Moody may still take out the event with his other filly Set For Fame.

The filly has drawn wide but might repeat what Typhoon Tracy did in the race last year and get across easily and sit in behind Gold Water who should lead.

In early markets Lady Lynette (6.00) and Palacio De Cristal (8.50) have shortened and while Lady Lynette has drawn well, the tempo of the race might not suit Palacio De Cristal. Read more of this article »
